Learning log 12 (Observation)

List about  video   (Observation)

1. Lesson structure.
    1.1 The way the lesson opens, develop and closes.
          -open the book ( There is a TV room)
          -ask question for example, How many room, There is your house
          -give example about room in your house
     1.2 The number of activity that constitute the lesson
            - ask and answer the question.
            - matching words card.( kitchen room, living room, bed room, bath room,
-bath room=toilet, bath, shower
                                                    - kitchen room=cupboards, fridge, cooker.
                                                    -bed room= pillow, bad, lamp, desk.
                                                    -living room= painting, sofa, vase.
1.3 The link and transitions between activities.
 -The teacher asks question about student’s room house and tell about thing in room. she gives word card o students by the students match word card with meaning and choose appropriate.

2. Classroom management strategies.
     2.1 Setting up groups
           -No have work groups but whole student do activity.
     2.2 Maintaining order.
 -Use louder volume.
  -Motivate students quickly to do activity and give student sit on the chair while students do activities done.
     2.3 Time management.
-Teacher teaches students the lesson about There is, There are and teach end in class.
        -Greeting and ask question before teaching. ( 5 minute)
        -Do activity. (20 minute)
        -Teach about vocabulary and structure There is, There are. (20 minute)
        -Wrap up. (5 minute)



 2.4 Seating arrangement.
-Students sit 2 person on the row. There are 4 row and there are space between row that’s students and teacher to walk around there.
             -Teacher sits in front of students’ desks on the left hand side, next to the first door.

3. Types of teaching.
3.1 whole class activities.
 - All students answer the question and find meaning of the words card. Student ask their friend about meaning from matching the words card.
3.2 Pair & group activities.
 -Present  word card and meaning in front of class with pair work and put them in each room.
-Student choose friend to speaking conversation by one student ask and another answer  the question about there is, there are. Then ,switch answer and ask question.
3.3 Individual activity
-Teacher chooses student call the name and number of student by teacher ask question and student answer one by one.

4.Teaching Strategies.
4.1 Presentating  Tasks.
-No tasks.
   4.2 Organizing practice.
        -Provide material such as words card, meaning card.
        -Speak conversation in front of class with pair.
        -Teacher asks and whole student answer together.
        -Teacher chooses one student to answer the question.
4.3Teaching Technique.
       -Give example.
       -Ask question.
        -Use material
        -Loud speaker.
        -Punishment
        -Entertain in classroom.

5. Teacher’s use of materials.
    5.1 Use of the textbooks.
-unit  3 there is a TV room
   5.2 Use of resource.
         -teacher make exercise on internet.

6. Teacher’ use of language.
 6.1 Use of instructional.
- Teacher speak loud and clear so student can repeat after teacher. When student wrong speak, teacher speak which with word many times.
 6.2 Use of Qustion.
-Teacher use many question such as, How many are there in your house, Do you understand.
6.3 Feedback techniques.
 -teacher give the student summarize by answer the question.


6.4 Explanation of vocabulary& grammar.
  -vocabulary
Teacher explant  the meaning of word card and teacher give student read about that.
-grammar.
Teacher explant about structure of there is, there are. Teacher write the structure on the blackboard and teacher explant hoe to use this structure

7. Students’ use of language.
  7.1 Use of language in group work.
-no speak English
7.2 Use of the mother-tongue during class.
-student use mother-tongue all the class
7.3 Problems with grammar.
 -Student use wrong V.to be between is or are. Teacher teach again and give example until student understand.


7.4 Problem with pronunciation
  - student can’t speak final sound with th sound. Teacher tell and hoe to speak and student repeat after teacher until student can do it.

8. Student interaction.
     8.1 Time on task.
-no task.
      8.2 Questioning behaviors.
              -When the teacher asks the question to student they can answer the question
      8.3 Students to students talk.
                1.Learning.
                     -Students don’t talk English in the class with their friends and teacher.Student speak  Thai language all the time with their  friend.
                 2. Teaching.

                      -teach speaking English 10% and speak Thai 90%. When teacher speaking English with student, student speak English wither too.
